Nuit blanche north returns to huntsville this weekend

Arts Festivals are typically foundin only the biggest cities around the world, but the Town of Huntsville has made a name for itself, and put its star on the map of communities that celebrate all forms of artistic expression with the success of its annual Nuit Blanche North Festival. Residents, cottagers, and visitors alike will be gathering in downtown Huntsville this Saturday, July 11th to be inspired and amazed by the next installation of this free, outdoor feast of the arts.
Billed as a “bold, interactive multi-arts street festival,” Nuit Blance North is a must-see Muskoka event. Huntsville is a community well-known for its kinship with artists, as the inspirational northern landscape has been welcoming artists to its neighbourhood for years. The success of theNuit Blanche North Festival is a testament to the dedication Huntsville feels towards the importance of supporting artistic expression in all forms.
Nuit Blanche festivals have captured the hearts and imaginations of people all over the world. This night-time interactive, multimedia festival of the arts began in Russia, then spread to Paris in 2001, before reaching cities all over the world. The first Nuit Blanche North was held in Huntsville in 2012, and the festival has been growing every year. Held near the summer solstice, when the days are longest (White Night, or Nuit Blanche), features modern, innovative, interactive art installations that continue to fascinate people of all ages.
The theme this year is “Away We Go!” and there will be 25 different events in 4 zones to experience, from musical performances to light shows, from buskers to fireworks. Join the festivities in downtown Huntsville this Saturday, July 11th. Nuit Blanche North is a great way to spend a northern Saturday night.
