Exciting Muskoka Events in 2015

With plenty of vibrant communities in the area, there’s a wide variety of events, festivals and activities going on in Muskoka throughout the year. Fundraisers, art shows, parades, bazaars, workshops and more are all in store for residents and visitors of all ages.

Take a look at some of the exciting Muskoka events lined up for 2015:

Muskoka Snowshoeing in Bracebridge

Learn the basics of winter travel and enjoy a one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure on snowshoes. Find out how to build a quick shelter and other safety tips for winter travel.

The 6th Annual Muskoka Carving Event

Watch as talented artists from around Ontario showcase their talent as they create sculptures using chainsaws.

This four-day event is from March 19 to 22, and will take place at2269 Hwy 11, South Gravenhurst. Call 705-684-1082 for more information.

Muskoka Drama Festival

Join workshops for voice, acting, or stage management at the four-day Muskoka Drama Festival. The festival includes a special performance by Brian Gordon Sinclair, as well as other talented musicians and performers.

The festival is on May 15 to May 18 at The Studio Theatre in Chaffey Hall, Huntsville.

Spring Into Summer Art Crawl

Enjoy a weekend full of exciting events at Gravenhurst as various Muskoka artists exhibit their work at the downtown art galleries and studios. The event includes a theatre night at the Opera House and special discounts from dining establishments.

The 37th Annual Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour

See the work of brilliant local artists who make use of raw materials to create paintings, illustrations, or sculptures inspired by the beautiful Muskoka landscape.

Annual Tree Lighting and Carol Sing

Witness the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Tree Lighting and Carol Sing at the Bala Community Centre. Make sure to dress accordingly as this event takes place outdoors.

Bala’s Trek to Bethlehem

Kick off the holiday season by reliving the story of Christmas at the streets of Bala, which are transformed into a biblical village each December. Get to enjoy and experience the magic of Christmas on this 40-minute journey, which starts at the Bala Community Centre.

Bala’s Trek to Bethlehem takes place on December 5.
